Very last minute thing, I got a chance to go to the Atlanta show. Ryan & Cardinals were amazing... They played for about 2 and half hours.

I thought the lighting on the stage was really dark -they looked like silhouettes most of the time - so hard to take pics... but I snapped this grainy pic of Ryan when John G. was telling a joke.

I'm going to see Ryan tonight for the first time, and I'm psyched. But I have a quick question.

The doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8:30, and it's sold out. Keeping in mind that it's general admission with no seating, what time would you guys get there?

So, who else went to the aussie gigs?! I went to Perth, Brisbane and both Melbourne shows and have to say that the Perth one was the best, followed ever so closely by the first Melbourne show. They were in such a great mood and Ryan is looking and sounding so much healthier these days.

no one has commented on how fucking amazing the dallas show was. 2.5-3 hour set, costume changes, joking, talking, so much love, songs he hasn't played live in forever, ah! also i finally met him :) it was so absolutely everything i hoped for and more. completely worth the flight/time off/life

It's not the best quality because it was taken on my cell, but it works.  There's lots of "woo"-ing (and prolly some off key singing).  I sat in the pit about 4 seats from the aisle (to which I had to walk right in front of the stage to get to), and it was worth every dollar.  The songs I caught were:

To the 4 or 5 drunk girls that were sitting behind me, OMG do you ever shut up? Also, try learning something about the artist you are going to see before you get there. "Is that Ryan Adams? I don't know whether or not he's sober, but his mood was totally different from Thursday to Friday. Thursday in Urbana (Champaign) he apologized right when he came out, something like "sorry if I'm not very talkative tonight, I quit smoking...it's been 4 days" Then the funny thing is he TALKED ALL NIGHT.
